Greetings

I've represented the 8th Congressional district (CD) of Massachusetts for seven terms and have a strong record of standing up for progressive beliefs in Congress. As a result of redistricting, the 8th CD will become the 7th CD. I welcome Everett, Milton, Randolph and some additional Boston neighborhoods to the new district. I will work hard to earn your support.

As a member of Congress, I voted against the Iraq War. I continue working to support our troops, while they are serving and when they have returned home. I voted against the PATRIOT Act to protect our cherished civil liberties and will continue to fight for your rights as citizens.

I have always supported marriage equality and equal rights for all. I am a strong supporter of a woman's right to choose. I have consistently opposed the death penalty. I fought for a robust public health care option and worked to protect Massachusetts during the recent health care debate.

Campaigns are won on the basis of commitment and ideas, but they also take hard work. I need your help.
